I was planning on writing an article on different blogging software options, but here is the thing I have only used Wordpress and B2Evolution. The site is built on Wordpress and so far I LOVE IT! My other site SwagGrabber is built using B2Evolution and honestly I will be moving it to Wordpress soon. I really do not recommend B2E for newbies, it is really complicated and requires a lot more experience.
Since I am not an expert on this subject I went researching and found a really great article with screen shots and lots of information about the most popular blogging software available. I definitely recommend reading it if you are trying to decide which route to go!
