Do You Need to Buy Your Domain Name? YES!!!

One of my readers asked the other day if a blogger should buy her domain name. She said “my name is still available, should I get it?. I screamed in my biggest online voice “YES”!!!!!!!!
If your name is available (or anything close to it) you should definitely buy it. Why? Because chances are when you go to get it later it will be gone. If you have a blogspot account they give you a name.blogspot account but you don’t own your domain name. Domain names is the website address. If you plan to build up your site you NEED a domain name. They are super cheap and are necessary to build your sites brand.
Currently GoDaddy is offering domain names for only $5.59 this weekend. This almost half of what they normally cost. Still at less than $10 a year it is a great investment!
