Here it is!!! The new Blog Boat button. If you prefer you can save the image and use your link to the upload. Just replace the IMG SRC link with your own! If your blog is listed in the Blog Finder database please place this image somewhere on your site! To put it on your blog copy the code below…
I’m confused… maybe it’s just me but I can’t see a code to copy. I would love to get this up on my site. Thanks!
Sorry I am working on this one. Having an issue getting the code to show and NOT be a link..lol. You can copy the entire code by highlighting it and paste it on your site
I should have this fixed soon just gotta figure out how to put source code in an Wordpress post.
I got it fixed!!!! Finally found a plugin that would allow me to post code. You are going to love this because now I can start teaching how to REALLY do cool stuff with your blog!
If you want to be able to post code on your site get this plug in.

Didn’t know there was a difference between the two? Don’t they both use Wordpress – same admin, setup, etc. Sorry to bother just curious.
I copied the code and put on my site with other buttons. The image is there but when I click on it it just takes me to the image. Not this page. Other buttons I have in the same gadget are working.

It should work properly now. It is designed to take you to the very first page.
You’re not bothering me. I can’t really get any add on’s or extras. Wordpress.com is for the blog challenged or fairly new blogs. It works like Blogger without all of the drama.
Very simple and self explanatory.
I am using Wordpress on this site. I love it so far. The amount of plugins is amazing. I use B2Evolution on my other site and it is a nightmare. WAY high tech. I am pretty techie and that is even advanced for me..lol.
I just added the blog boat button to my blog. If I could make a suggestion? The button seems kind of washed out on my blog. You may want to consider making the colors a bit bolder so it stands out. I’m sorry if I seem like I’m criticizing. I don’t want to diminish all your hard work or anything you’ve done. I appreciate it!!!

Your right it is sort of washed out on your site. I will work on building another button, but it will take me a few days..if not longer. Took me weeks to build the first one…lol.

Also, how do I upload a pic onto this site for my avatar. I can’t find where to do that.
I am planning on doing a post about building your own button. I just need to do a little more research. The program I used, I bought and I don’t think most people would want to spend money so I gotta find a free option. I will have it up by Monday.
To get a gravatar – look at the bottom of this comments and you will see a link for getting your own gravatar. Or you can go here http://en.gravatar.com/ – you can upload an image or pick one. Unfortunately there appears to be two images one in the blog and one in the forum. To set the one in the forum just click on “user profile” and you can get one there.

I’m sorry I’m so bad at this stuff. I downloaded the gravatar I wanted, but I can’t find “user profile” in the forum. I clicked on forum and profile under where is says welcome, but I’m still clueless. I’m so sorry.
You tie the avatar you want to use in the gravatar system. Just upload and select the one you want there and it takes a few minutes but it will start to show up here. To get it in the forum go under “Profile” and then “Upload Your Avatar” there is an upload box at the bottom.
Don’t worry about asking questions…that is the point of the site
I know you’re going to think me a complete idiot, but I swear to you there is NO upload box where I’m looking in the profile section.

Okay, so I finally figured out that I needed to be in the forum section and then there was a profile button in the upper right hand side of the page. I uploaded my avatar. Here’s the next question. Why isn’t it showing up here?
I went back into Gravatar and uploaded my pic there. Hopefully it will show up here soon. I feel like such a moron!

I just created a new button for my blog and I uploaded it here. My issue is that it comes up fine where I uploaded it, but it’s not replacing the old image. Help?

Okay, I replaced the pic in the “forum” section where I downloaded my original pic. I went to upload it in the “my blogs” section and it seems to have crashed my entry – twice. Here’s the photobucket URL

You found an issue, that I need to fix. That is one of the problems I am having with the new server is figuring out permissions on all the folders, I forgot about the one where those images are uploaded. It will take me a bit to fix, so go ahead and re-enter your information and I will upload the image for you. Let me know when you have it done
